Recently I can across an interesting company making a product here in the U.S. with a purpose! R. Riveter was founded by two military spouses who were looking for a way to break the cycle of under-employment that so many military families face due to being relocated every 2 to 3 years. The company uses military surplus supplies to manufacture various handbags using a network of military spouses to complete each phase of the process. Each bag is handmade for the end consumer utilizing their website.
The company was recently featured on ABC’s Shark Tank as well as multiple news segments. This is a great story of an American company with purpose. You can take a look at their website here to learn more.
